Your Name/what you go by: Nikki
AIM/E-mail/contact info: lily pads @ AIM
Your character's name: Kikuchi Yoshito
Series your character's from: Great Teacher Onizuka/GTO
Background info on your character:
So, there's this kid! He's fourteen years old and studies in a prestigious and private middle school in Japan. You know, rich kids like this guy are pretty respectable! Heck, people in this school are respectable! They belong to the upper class (well, most of them, at least) and you'd expect everyone to be prim and proper just like how the elite would. Now, this guy? He's got an IQ of 180 (possibly higher). He's the class president and can score the highest on a standardized test nation-wide. He's not famous in class because of his smarts, though. He's famous because he's an awesome computer genius. And he's good at shooping things to make horrible things.
Where the hell did that come from? And why would he be famous for it, anyway? Well, see, the class Kikuchi belongs in is a notorious class. Majority of the students don't believe in teachers, and they've had 240914832 homeroom teachers already. Every time they get a new one, they do whatever they can to make their teacher resign and live in hell. The previous teacher before the series' main character Onizuka happened to develop some kind of eating disorder after being shown hell by Kikuchi's class, 3-4. Basically, Kikuchi's class consists of a bunch of rich bullies and delinquents.
Onizuka happens to be a special case for 3-4, though. Each of the students in class start liking him instead of hating him (and teachers in general) after spending time with him. Kikuchi ends up being a convert as well, and assists Onizuka throughout the series. With 3-4 in a disarray since there are still some anti-teachers, well, it gets pretty chaotic and jesus fuck are you sure you guys are 14 years olds. This is a really happy and non-violent series, I swear.
Kikuchi helps Onizuka out in the strangest ways ever. The first time was when he helped Onizuka market some Tomoko products outside a beauty pageant center, where they made 40k Yen and he got 10% of it. The second one was when Onizuka was tasked to take a nationwide standardized test and was only informed of it in a week. If he would not top the exam, then he will be dismissed as a teacher. Of course, with Kikuchi's smarts, he could perfect the exam easily, which was why he switched Onizuka's test with a spare answer sheet which he answered himself. Granted, what happened was that all of Onizuka's answers were the same as his, which was a really big surprise and it came off that Onizuka didn't need Kikuchi's help after all.
After those two instances plus a couple more, Onizuka still hasn't been fired or hasn't resigned yet. 3-4 brings out a secret weapon-- Urumi Kanzaki! She's the only one in class who's smarter than Kikuchi with an IQ of 200, but she hasn't gone to school in a while and stuff like that. Kikuchi doesn't really do much here, but he tells Kanzaki to back off Onizuka because he's not like any of their other teachers. Kanzaki of course, doesn't "back off" and tries to terrorize Onizuka as much as she can, but Onizuka ends up saving her life (literally) which makes her incredibly happy with him. She even calls Kikuchi on the phone just to tell him about what happened to her.
Eventually, Onizuka takes Kanzaki out for a spin with a bunch of gangsters which is interpreted as kidnapping by a bunch of the people in school. Kikuchi comes up with a plan to bring the Onizuka and Kanzaki back to campus safe and sound. That plan was to steal the vice principal's Cresta by tasering him and driving the Cresta around town even though he's only had driving experience via Grand Turismo. But err the plan is sort of retarded and is a failure and they end up driving the car into a river. Gureito.
And in almost every series set in a school setting is a school/class trip! Thaaat's right! Class 3-4 heads to Okinawa after a long hard struggle of getting Onizuka 8.something million Yen. When they get there, they find out that their room assignments aren't as normal as they thought they would be. Boys and girls were mixed. But that's not really important to Kikuchi just as long as he has his handy-dandy laptop. B| Anyway, he finds out later on that there's treasure hidden near the island their hotel is in and he tells Onizuka about it. The two of them secretly plan using the manpower of 3-4 to search for it and share the treasure they get to themselves. Though Kikuchi rats him out to Urumi and to the rest of the class and they both get punished (aka tied up and tortured god why).
After the school trip, another student from class four comes back to class to terrorize Onizuka, Mayu Wakui. He never attends class anymore, but was only summoned by Miyabi as another of the class' secret weapons in teacher bullying. He starts his job by beating up a bunch of people in the school rooftop which evidently get Onizuka and the rest of the class' attention thanks to Miyabi. Kikuchi, of all people, talks to Mayu but Mayu replies with a kick that Kikuchi sharply blocks. Mayu says that he never expected any of his "allies" to join the teacher's side, hinting that he has a bit of a past with Kikuchi.
One of Mayu's plans involves a 100-man arm-wrestling match at some place. Kikuchi and the others find out about this from Mayu's "girlfriend" and they intervene, or at least, watch what happens as it unfolds. But... they kind of fail at it because they get caught by security. Kanzaki manages to rescue him and Murai's gang though, so it's all good. Sorta. Anyway, Mayu fights Onizuka as the hundredth man for the arm-wrestling challenge and loses. The shock is too much to bear for Mayu, and he gets some kind of seizure. Kikuchi is the first to go to him and tell him to snap out of it. When they get to the hospital, Kikuchi reveals Mayu's secret-- he has anxiety issues and has to take stabilizers to come out as "normal" every day. Then comes a cat and dog chase between Onizuka and Mayu, and at the end of it all, Mayu becomes an Onizuka convert. He tells Miyabi that he cannot help her anymore, and decides to back out. Then he asks Kikuchi to come with him because he has a favour to ask of him. Kikuchi and Mayu do not come back to school for a week or so.
Meanwhile, things go wild back in school. Miyabi makes Kanzaki's secret public, which makes Kanzaki go crazy. She posts a link to a website of Miyabi doing then nasty to a bunch of pervy forums, and the whole video will air in 69 hours from when it was discovered. Kikuchi and Mayu try to stop Kanzaki, and Mayu mentions that they probably won't be able to make it, and they'll lose to Kanzaki just like "before". And just when they're about to give up, an IM from one of the people Kikuchi regularly chats with comes up. He decides to ask "sand whale" for help as he mentions that things like these are something that the "sand whale" is good at. Thanks to "sand whale", Kikuchi penetrates through the firewall and manages to shut the site down. For five good seconds. But things weren't as horrible as they seemed to be, since what was in that site was not pervy pics of Miyabi but one single picture of Miyabi, Kanzaki and Tomoko back when they were younger.
The next problem becomes Teshigawara (again). He's a stalker of Onizuka's love interest, Fuyutsuki. Stuff happens and he ends up closing down the school, holding Fuyutsuki and the school chairman hostage. Kikuchi, Kanzaki and a few others come in to rescue Fuyutsuki and the chairman but they get turned into hostages too. Eventually, Onizuka rescues all of them even though he was shot in the chest. Haado cooru.
And now that the whole of Kikuchi's first term has been summed up, it is time for the second term! It starts off with the principal being forced to take a vacation/promotion and is evidently replaced by a new one who is like hell. Also hot. She also teaches sex ed. Hot damn. Anyway, Onizuka is reprieved off his job as 3-4's homeroom teacher and is replaced by Fuyutsuki. A transfer student comes in and her name is Tokiwa Ai. And... her first victim happens to be Kikuchi OH MY GOD I don't even. So, she introduces herself to class and takes the seat a few from Kikuchi's. He just happens to stare at her as she passes by, and when he looks down at his seat, he finds panties which happen to be Ai's. He gets flustered by this and just looks away, but Onizuka finds out and it is exposed to the whole class.
The whole panties incident brings Kikuchi's rep down. He confronts Ai after class, saying that he finds her suspicious. Kikuchi gets kicked in the face, and his glasses fall to the floor. The two of them start a brawl and he gets beaten up. Because of this though, he is the first one to find out about Ai's plans. He also finds out that Ai has accomplices with her, who plan on overthrowing all the men who take advantage of girls. He visits Mayu after his loss and tells him all about it, which puts their plan of "revenge" into action.
Ai gets into a lot of trouble, including almost getting raped by a gang who got kicked out of school because of her. Her friends also get thrashed. Onizuka comes in for the usual teacher rescue, and Ai makes a run for it and heads to the bathroom to make herself feel better about the situation. Kikuchi comes in and talks to Ai about how useless her actions are, and the two of them duke it out again. This time, Kikuchi comes in victorious but refuses to land the finishing blow on her. Ai says that she'll learn to trust Kikuchi (and possibly all men) if he chops his dick off. Onizuka comes in and says he'll do it, but he just stabs a box of tomato juice that was covering his crotch area. Then it becomes all awkward since Onizuka forces Ai to hug Kikuchi and they end up kissing each other. I'll be taking Kikuchi after this arc.
Kikuchi, as a whole, is a mixture of nerd, geek, genius and delinquent. So yeah, he's smart and he can be "evil", as the class puts it, but he's kind of a loser too! He plays a bunch of video games and attributes the things he learns from video games in real life. An example would be when he stole the vice-principal's car keys and attempted to drive the Cresta. He said that he doesn't have a license and had no experience of driving at all, but he played Grand Turismo and was really good at that game, so what difference would it make, right? Yeaahhhh.
Even though Kikuchi plays video games like a loser, he still manages to find time for studies. And when I mean studying, he studies a day or two before an exam and not a month before. With an IQ over 180, who would need to study anyway, right? He knows what he is capable of, and isn't really modest about it. If he knows he'll succeed in what he'll do, then he'll say it straight to your face "I can do it, you'll lose". That said, Kikuchi is usually very chill about everything. He mentions that he thinks five steps ahead, which is why he hardly shows any sign of panic. Unless it deals with Onizuka, since Onizuka's pretty much the god of the unexpected.
He also happens to be one of those people who just can't shut up. He knows what he's thinking and he isn't ashamed of saying what he feels, no matter who he's talking to. He'll tell you you're stupid, he'll cuss at you if you do something that he doesn't like. Because of this, he always gets into trouble. You'd really think that the class president would be someone more responsible and respectable, but, yeah. He likes picking fights with people and won't back down to anyone. That said, he's very skilled in karate. It wasn't explicitly stated how strong he is, but when people found out that Kikuchi lost to someone, reactions were always disbelief or something along the lines of "Woah! Someone out there can actually beat you?!"
Above all that, Kikuchi is one cool customer. People in school have always regarded him as the "coolest guy in school", despite him being a nerd and all that stuff. He's not the suave kind of cool, but he's just someone who's very confident and can stand up for himself. He's mostly just someone who is cool, calm, collected, sarcastic and cunning. Too bad he's awkward when it comes to girls! Sure, he's a gentleman and all that. He'll open the door for girls and shit but hugging? Oh god, no. Giving advice? Get out. He's fine with just the normal "hey, hi, hello" kind of stuff, but anything more than that brings him to be incredibly flustered and sort of tsun. And since this app is long already, I'll just shut up and proceed to the next part.
